There are moments when the weight of life becomes so heavy that even breathing feels like a task.
moments when your duas seem unanswered.
when doors remain closed.
when loneliness grows louder than hope.
when you begin to wonder,
“How much longer?”
if that is where your heart is today, pause for just a moment.
not because your pain isn’t real.
but because Allah has something to say to hearts exactly like yours.
one of the greatest burdens we place upon ourselves is trying to survive a future that hasn’t even arrived.
we replay every “what if.”
we imagine every possible loss, every downfall, every setback, every thing that could go wrong.
we convince ourselves we’ll never make it.
But Allah calls us back to the present.
“...And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He is sufficient for them.”
(surah at-talaq 65:3)
not He might be sufficient.
not He was sufficient.
He is sufficient.
..right now.
Even when you don’t know what tomorrow holds.
sometimes we mistake silence for abandonment, but that’s exactly where the real test lies.
we think because the answer hasn’t come, Allah has forgotten us.
but the Quran tells a different story.
think of Prophet Yaqub (عليه السلام).
years passed without Yusuf.
no answers.
no certainty.
only grief.
yet he never stopped turning to Allah.
he said,
“I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know.”
(surah yusuf 12:86)
imagine that level of faith.
to continue hoping when every visible sign says otherwise.
hope, in Islam, is not denying reality.
it is believing Allah’s reality is greater than yours.
One of shaytan’s greatest tricks is convincing you that this chapter is the whole story.
that this failure defines you.
that this heartbreak is permanent.
and this loneliness is forever.
but Allah reminds us:
“Perhaps you dislike something while it is good for you, and perhaps you love something while it is bad for you. Allah knows, and you do not know.”
(Qur’an 2:216)
you are reading one page.
Allah has already written the ending. the whole story. how will you reach the ending if you refuse to turn over the page, this turning over is actually the first step towards not-giving-up.
The Quran never pretends believers are always strong, but what’s even more beautiful is that it actually adresses their pain and gives them hope.
prophet Musa (عليه السلام) felt afraid.
prophet Yunus (عليه السلام) found himself in complete darkness…
and Maryam (عليها السلام), during childbirth, cried,
“I wish I had died before this and had been completely forgotten.”
(surah maryam 19:23)
yet Allah SWT did not leave her alone.
He comforted her.
He provided for her.
He reminded her that mercy can appear even in the place where we expect only pain.
the Quran does not erase human emotion.
it teaches us where to place it.
there are tears nobody notices.
battles nobody applauds.
prayers nobody hears.
But Allah SWT says,
Indeed, Allah is with the patient.”
(surah baqarah 2:153)
not because patience is easy. but because no one who struggles with Allah beside them is ever truly alone.
every tear you hide is seen.
every silent dua is heard.
every effort that nobody appreciates is recorded.
nothing….and i repeat NOTHING is wasted with Allah.
Allah repeats one promise twice in Surah Ash-Sharḥ:
“Indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”
(Qur’an 94:5–6)
Notice He doesn’t say after hardship.
He says with hardship.
meaning while the difficulty exists...mercy is already arriving. guidance is already unfolding.
relief is already making its way toward you, even if you cannot see it yet.
Some of the most beautiful stories in the Quran changed in a single moment.
the sea split.
the prison door opened.
the blind regained sight.
the barren were blessed with children.
none of those people knew that their relief was so close.
neither do you.
Your next dua could be the one.
your next day could be different.
your next chapter may contain everything this one lacks.
never mistake waiting for being forgotten.
Remember this verse. read it slowly. and carry it with you..
“Do not lose hope in the mercy of Allah. Surely no one loses hope in Allah’s mercy except those who disbelieve.”
(surah yusuf 12:87)
hope is an act of worship.
not because life is easy.
but because Allah is greater than every difficulty life brings.
so breathe, cry if you need to, rest if you must.
ask Allah again. then ask Him again tomorrow.
because the One who brought Yusuf AS back...
The One who saved Yunus AS from the depths...
The One who split the sea for Musa AS...
The One who comforted Maryam AS beneath the palm tree...
Is the very same Allah listening to your dua today. And He has never once failed a promise.
If your heart feels like it is hanging by a thread, let that thread be tied to Allah.
not to people.or to outcomes. not to the timing you imagined.
but To Him.
because when everything else lets go, Allah never does.
perhaps today is not the day your circumstances change.but it can be the day your heart remembers Who has been carrying it all along.
And sometimes...
that is where healing begins.

Until next time,
