In the last weekly warmup session a community member opened up about struggling with consistency, losing motivation, and work eating into personal “me time.” That sparked a very honest group discussion
Time boxing & designing your day
Not a rigid minute-by-minute schedule, but a simple intention: “What kind of progress do I want today?”
Start with fewer “courses on your plate” instead of trying to cram in a full buffet.
Saying no (a lot more)
More on your plate ⇒ more procrastination.
Default answer to new asks: no. If it really matters, it will come back.
Block time on your calendar for your own work and treat it as a real meeting.
Perfection vs presence
Atomic Sketches is designed for 1–2 minutes, not masterpieces.
On low‑energy days, “the dumbest possible version” still counts: jot the idea as text, snap a photo, share. Scribbles > silence.
Values under the surface
People‑pleasing, fear of disappointing others, and guilt around “me time” make time management much harder.
Many of us are learning to be okay with not making everyone happy, and to protect our mental and physical health first.
The conversation was vulnerable and warm; several folks mentioned this space feels safer to share such struggles than work or even close friends.
That’s all for today. See you next week.
