Note: The new REMARKABLE 2026 Experience Report is now available
In 2020, I started an ambitious project — I just didn’t know it at the time.
I pursued all things immersive, from luxury brand activations to independent art house performances. Later on I set a specific goal: to explore 500 experiences within five years.
This individual inquiry developed into a larger investigation. Why were some of these experiences so affecting? How could that impact be captured and measured?
Beginning as a constellation of questions and ideas, my quest concluded with REMARKABLE 2025, a report on the shape of experiential art and entertainment.
It introduces a new methodology for evaluation. The REMARKABLE rubric endeavors to quantify ROX (Return-on-Experience) alongside traditional metrics (revenue, attendance, press, social shares, etc.) and emergent data (neurological, biometric).
Published in association with the World Experience Organization, the report outlines the evolution and value of the REMARKABLE rubric.
Standout productions from 2024 illustrate its application and how it conveys the intentionality and impact of experiential productions.
Eight case studies utilize the rubric to present a deep dive in what’s working and why.
(For asniffianadoes of my scentscapades, there’s a “Scentsorial” case study…)
