There’s something about a 50th birthday that feels extra special — a celebration of life, friendship and style all rolled into one. I can’t quite believe that some of my dearest friends are hitting this milestone, I have a few years left to go, but I’m loving the excuse to find new party outfits in the meantime. If you’ve got a big party coming up, then here are a few outfits I found and LOVE!
My main inspiration for the party this weekend - I wanted something sparkly and fun - that showed off my legs, but also felt a little cosy and comfy on top.
I fell head over heels with the tassel skirt from M&S (2.) and then needed a lovely soft jumper to match, this one is fab and gives a more casual feel to the outfit.
The SKIRT - so in love, fun and elegant; works well for so many occasions, pair with shoes or boots.
I love nature and texture, so no surprise that a shearling coat has been on my wish list for years - this reversible one from Mango is AMAZING - the dream to finish off a party outfit too.
Burgundy and deep red is very much a colour of this season - this cashmere jumper from Reformation is a delight and so chic paired with the shorts below.
Patrick doesn’t agree, but I think that satin shorts are THE look of AW25 and something that I will be wearing whenever I get the chance….what’s not to love?
I have owned this bag from Loeffler Randal for over a year now and use it every time I go out - it’s so pretty, feels so chic and will dress up almost anything.
I adore these gold shoes from Penelope Chilvers - they look fab and are also really comfy. Highly recommend.
These velvet court shoes (also Penelope Chilvers) are on my winter wishlist - velvet and animal print, two of my favourite things.
And these platform sandals in burgundy velvet - so good for elongating the legs!
This slide is about creating a look you could wear from office to party - very stylish, but things that can easily be dressed up or down with a change of shoes or bag and some extra jewellery.
I just love this dress from Leoffler Randal - I love a good sleeve and this is such a pretty look. Amazing with boots or flats, super versatile.
Another amazing dress to take you from day to evening - this time from my absolute favourite, Me+Em - so 60s, so chic.
I adore pumps, I adore bows - these shoes are the utter dream.
Complete the retro look by wearing the Me+Em dress with these amazing boots.
Finally another version of my favourite bag - a girl can’t have too many bows.
More burgundy and browns on this slide - so popular at the moment and so warming and flattering to wear.
This cape dress from Reiss is a real show stopper - I love a caped coat and thought this style was super eye catching and unusual.
A jumpsuit in the same colour and fabric - so elegant, LOVE.
This sheerling cropped jacket from Me+Em is amazing for an evening cover up.
A-line is such a flattering shape - this Me+Em dress would be wonderful with boots or shoes for both day and night.
A classic gold clutch that will go with everything.
The comfiest gold heels I have ever owned (as above).
Here are some other elegant dresses & accessories that caught my eye.
The name ‘Outfit Elevator Collar’ is just perfect for this shearling accessory.
Wear this dress under a blazer in the day time and on its own at night - so elegant.
This 2 in 1 dress is amazing - a removal cape overlay is genius and makes it wearable in almost all seasons.
I just love the oversize pearls on this bag - such a subtle statement.
Mesh flats go with literally everything from denim to dressed up - a wardrobe staple in my opinion.
My final slide shares some accessories I can’t live with out - these pieces are all elegant and totally timeless.
I can’t go anywhere in the cooler months without my Anemone Hand Cream - absorbs brilliantly, soft and smells heavenly too. Always in my handbag.
I wear these earrings almost every day and also love them in the evening - the literally go with everything.
This is a matching necklace from the Tilly Sveaas T-Bar Collection.
The handbag size Anemone Eau de Parfum (7.5ml) is perfect for top ups.
Finally, I’ve coveting these beauties from Me+Em - timeless, but they do hint at 80s glamour, which is something I’m always for!
My final word…when researching party outfits make sure you choose something that feels like you. I chose satin short from Reformation with a textured black jacket for the party this weekend with many of the accessories above, and felt a million dollars!
When you’re comfortable, you’ll radiate confidence, and that’s the best look of all :)
Wishing you a fab weekend ahead and thank you for taking the time to read.
