Hi everyone,
What if your next painting experience came with birdsong and morning croissants?I’ve created something really special, and I want to invite you in.
Next April, I’m hosting a Nature Painting Retreat in the French Countryside — and it’s not just about painting plants (though we’ll do plenty of that, a French botanical garden straight out of a dream) or landscapes.
It’s about slowing down. Reconnecting with your creativity. Letting go of the pressure to make “perfect” work, and instead, being fully present — with your brush, your senses, and a group of like-minded artists.
We’ll stay at a privately reserved country estate in the eastern French countryside — beautiful grounds, an outdoor and an indoor pool, a sauna, and meals made from organic, locally sourced ingredients. It is, in a word, the kind of place where you exhale.
Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned artist craving space to play again — this retreat is for you.
🌿 Only 10 spot available; sign up before Dec 1st to secure your spot!
And to celebrate this wonderful upcoming retreat, I’m hosting a drawing session together with Jeanne from Artful Travels, who will show us the beautiful place we’ll be visiting and together we can answer all of your questions about the retreat.
But of course we will mostly paint together! Let’s immerse ourselves into the French Countryside, take our picnic baskets into the fields, and paint the beautiful things nature shows us.
It doesn’t have to be perfect, and you don’t need special supplies. This is just a chance to set aside time for creativity, connection, and intention.

What are we drawing?
The French Countryside! Beautiful landscapes, lovely flowers, potager gardens. As we paint, we’ll chat about painting, nature, and creativity.
You’re welcome to join the conversation in the chat, or if you prefer, just listen and turn off your camera and microphone.
At the end, we’ll have a chance to share our work, but that’s optional. This session is about having fun and relaxing.Replay
If you can’t attend the session, a replay will be posted as soon as possible (usually within 48 hours).Materials
Any material you like! I think I’m going to use a bit of gouache and coloured pencils.
If you haven’t joined the Art Club yet, now’s a great time — members get access to all the workshops, plus creative extras and updates throughout the year.
You can try it free for 7 days.
The reference pictures will be shown in the Zoom session and added to the replay. google folder, which we will share during the session, and I’ll add them to the replay.

Sharing your creations
We’d love to see what you create! You can share during the session if you like, or share your work in our club chat or on notes here on Substack. It would also really help to get the word out about this lovely community.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Looking forward to the session. See you there!
