Hi everyone,

I have something to share that we’ve been quietly brooding on for a while now — and you are the first to hear it.

I am beyond excited to announce that in the spring of 2027, I’m hosting an art retreat in France. And I would love for you to be there.

April 26 – May 1, 2027 · Saint-Jean-le-Vieux, France
5 nights · 10 participants maximum

We’ll be staying exclusively at Clos de l’Oiselon, a privately reserved country estate in the eastern French countryside — beautiful grounds, an outdoor and an indoor pool, a sauna, and meals made from organic, locally sourced ingredients. It is, in a word, the kind of place where you exhale.

Each day will move gently: morning painting sessions in and around the estate, afternoon light, good food, good conversation. We’ll make our way to Lyon for a guided tour and a dedicated painting session in the Botanical Garden — irises and maybe roses in full spring bloom, if the season is generous with us. Back at the estate, we’ll paint from the potager kitchen garden and explore the greenhouses of Clos de l’Oiselon, where there’s no shortage of extraordinary subjects waiting. Vegetables, seedlings, unfurling leaves — the quiet, overlooked beauty that I love most. Other moments will provide time to paint landscapes, or maybe even still life, to record our memories of the wonderful French countryside.

The gorgeous Clos de l’Oiselon, our home for the week

We’ll wander through the medieval village of Pérouge, share a gourmet dinner with a wine tasting, and enjoy slow mornings with fresh bread and coffee.

The lush botanical gardens, wine vineyards and delicious vegetables the Beaujolais region has to offer

Through it all — nature, the season turning toward summer, paint on paper — the kind of creative immersion I’ve always wanted to offer in person.

If you’d like some extra information about the retreat and get a feel of what it will be like, join us for a free Zoom drawing session on the 11th of August at 4PM CEST.
Jeanne from Artful Travels will join us to explain all about the retreat, and we can answer any questions you have. We’ll also paint the French countryside together, of course:)

Only 10 spots exist. A deposit is required before the end of this year (1st of dec) to secure the estate. I’m especially excited because I know lots of people find retreats too expensive, and this time we’ve been able to keep this very affordable, without compromising on comfort and quality. It’s a beautiful place, and I can’t wait to paint the French countryside with you.

If this calls to you, I’d love to hear from you. Simply reply to this email, or find all the details here

With love from my art cocoon,

PS Of course, if you can’t make it for any reason, I completely understand. But someone else might, so would you be so kind as to give this post a like or a re-stack? This helps others to find this post and maybe make their retreat dreams come true ❤️
