The past weeks have been a flurry of pre-book-release energy. Advance Reader Copies of Ash and the Butterfly were sent to a cadre of intrepid readers, reviewers, booksellers and librarians, and the glowing response has been dreamy.

And here’s a peek at the dynamic between Grace and Luke as they struggle to work together to open a new science museum. She’s been ignoring him lest they tear each other’s throats out. In this scene, she’s managed to politely(ish) acknowledge him without getting pulled into a battle. But then she notices the specimen jar he’s holding.
Oh, but I did entice you by calling the book steamy, didn’t I? I’ll save the naughtiest bits for you to enjoy in context, but here’s Luke’s perspective when he first encounters Grace earlier in the scene. (Yes, there is a real orange tree growing in the entrance of the museum. And a taxidermied tiger. It’s quite a place.)
