The summer scavenger hunt

I hope your summer is bringing you some unexpected relief. Like the black-eyed-susans below I was sure would not survive, but somehow did.

Last month I sent out the first field note zine, which included my take on a little summer scavenger hunt, amongst several other Riso prints:

One thing I was most excited about when ideating for the project was having an interactive aspect to it. Projects you can try, prompts you can contemplate, and actual objects you can interact with.

I didn’t realize how wonderfully interactive it could really be until yesterday, when a super sweet postcard arrived from one of you! At first I just read the note on the front with my address on it, but when I flipped it over I saw it was thee scavenger hunt (!) turned into a postcard with a stamp on it (!) mailed back to me (!) filled out (!)

I nearly fell over in excitement. Genius! I was not expecting this, and seeing how the field note can spark actions and interactions like these makes it even more fulfilling than it already is. So, I had to show-and-tell you about it.
