For years, I’ve spent time in the ocean learning how to read the waves. When you spend enough time in the water, you begin to notice that the ocean is always moving, but it isn’t always moving in the same way. Sometimes the water is completely calm. Other times, you can feel something shifting before you can even see it. The gravitational pull changes, the energy of the water changes and suddenly waves begin to form.
And when you learn how to surf, you learn something important: you don’t create the wave. You learn how to recognize it, meet it and ride it. That’s how I think about astrology.
You don’t have to understand astrology to understand the ocean. You can simply notice that something is happening in the water. In the same way, you don’t have to be an astrologer to recognize that there are moments throughout the year that can serve as powerful invitations to pause, reflect, reconnect and grow.
The Lion’s Gate is one of those moments. So are the new moon and the full moon.
I think of these moments as energetic waves. They give us an opportunity to pay attention to what is shifting within us and around us, to become more intentional about where we are placing our energy, and to ask ourselves what we are ready to create, release, or become.
When a wave forms, you have a choice. You can ride it. You can let it pass. You can swim through it. You can simply notice that the water has changed.
But here’s what I’ve learned: whether you’re riding the wave or just swimming in the ocean, you can always do the work to grow and expand.
It isn’t about believing that one particular date will magically transform your life. It’s about recognizing a moment that can help you become more intentional about your life.
The Lion’s Gate was the doorway. The real work is what happens after you walk through it.
Recently, I gathered our community for a Lion’s Gate Embodied Leadership Activation. We breathed. We released. We regulated. We envisioned. We moved. We committed. And we asked a question that I believe is at the heart of embodied leadership: Who am I becoming?
Because most of us spend a lot of time thinking about what we want. We create goals. We make vision boards. We set intentions. We imagine the future. But eventually, intention has to become embodiment. You have to begin practicing the person you’re becoming.
And that’s where transformation begins. The ritual itself isn’t the transformation. The ritual creates the space for transformation. The real work happens the next morning when you wake up and have to decide how you’re going to live.
It happens when you’re triggered and choose to pause instead of react. It happens when you know you need a boundary and finally honor it. It happens when you choose rest instead of pushing through. It happens when you nourish your body differently. It happens when you have the courageous conversation. It happens when you choose yourself. It happens when you return to your vision after you’ve temporarily lost sight of it.
That’s embodiment. And that is why I created the Lion’s Gate Embodied Leadership Integration.
You don’t have to have attended the original Lion’s Gate experience to do this work. You don’t have to wait for another Lion’s Gate. You don’t even have to understand astrology.
You simply need a willingness to pause long enough to ask yourself:
Who am I becoming?
And then:
What would that version of me practice today?
The original activation happened in August 2026, but this practice is evergreen. You can begin today. You can begin next month. You can return to it six months from now. The date doesn’t matter nearly as much as your willingness to practice.
If you weren’t with us for the original Lion’s Gate Embodied Leadership Ritual, I’ve made the experience available for you. Before you watch, give yourself some space. Put your phone away. Take a few breaths. Let yourself arrive.
