There is nowhere like New York in June. I say this every time I go back and I mean it every time.
I grew up in NY, lived in Manhattan through my twenties and into my early thirties, and even now, years later, the moment I land something is ignited. It’s the familiarity of a city I know so well that I can move through it without thinking. The same streets, the same feeling in the air, the same sense that anything could happen and I could run into anyone. New York in the summer has this specific magic to it, when the weather finally turns and the whole city exhales and comes to skip outside immediately.
