For a long time I had this idea about manifesting. Like, I haven't been manifesting much lately. I understood it as sitting down and deciding to do it. But now, it resonates differently. It's kind of like everything else. Things don't simply stop, we just either decide to pay attention to them or not. We have to choose what we want to "deal" with. Or ignore, or dramatize or diminish. It can all be so serious or so simple. It's all about the way you want to live your life. It's not about whether it's right or wrong, it's about the context.
I realize, now, that it is all a constant manifestation. I don't have to sit down and deicide to do it because it will just happen. Not without any effort or direction. I have to speak the things I think I want, that I think will pull me into the next iteration. And they will, nonetheless. But, if I can just keep making it up as I go it will be so. It just takes time and time and time and sometimes it feels like forever. It's all really quick. And you eventually just do it by living. And you have ideas and desires and intentions and then things happen and you are manifesting. Before you know it you have manifested these things so subtly and quickly that you don't even realize you're doing it. You blink and it's there and it's gone, but is it really ever and…
Here’s something special for you. This is the first iteration of Blinks! I made before ever sending it to Jacob to produce. I looped a bunch of GarageBand synth sounds with my tiny midi keyboard and just sang it straight. I haven’t listened to this in a long time. I was listening to Molly Nilsson and Cornelia Murr and Anna Domino and Discovery Zone (still am). It’s cool to hear how different this is from how the song ended up.
Which you will get to hear on September 10th!!!!
Blinks! was written one day at the beach. It’s about the many ways in which you can follow the light. And we affect each other. No one gets out untouched. Instead of trying too hard to be perfect, we do our best and see what happens. Learn how to have compassion for ourselves. To be our own best friend.
By the way, I’m having a party on Friday and you’re all invited! You don’t even have to be in the same city as me to attend. Just click here to go to the super top secret, underground location: JOYLAND … see you there ♥️
Sending Love,
KJ
