GST Meets Gemini

GST stands for General Systems Theory, which I decades back deployed in service of the DSR (Design Science Revolution) in direct competition with Economics.

These foreground polemics aside, in the background Economics was already in the process of upgrading itself with a more sophisticated understanding of Thermodynamics, drawing from the Carnot lineage, not just from the British.

My Synergetics on the Web, itself an archeological dig of sorts, as I preserve it as it was, broken links and all, from the 1990s.

I’ve had to migrate it from host to host over the years (it’s currently at GoDaddy), bringing my GST web pages with me.

Only today did I get around to generating some Gemini-enhanced versions of my embedded GST diagrams.

These were made using Google’s free tier image generating service, which allows synergizing an initial image, from my Grunch dot net website (in this case) with a prompt of my own devising.

Let’s take them in order.

First I display the original, then I followup with the Gemini-enhanced version.

Our way of thinking is what costs us. We already have the means to achieve more desirable ends, were we able to switch our thinking to alternative grooves.

Maybe some of us have? But enough?

In this case, the derived image, while suggesting the information is classified, also succeeds in covering up its own content in large degree, meaning without the original, it has little independent didactic value.

…as some call it, known to the ancients but largely lost in our Time of Sleep (obliviousness).

The derived image suggests we’re maybe not saying anything all that surprising to an Egyptian Pharaoh or Mayan Magician — once the appropriate translations, minus any anachronisms, have been provided.

I don’t always keep the initial image, nor the prompt for that matter, as a part of my final exhibit. Google is keeping my prompts on file.

In this particular article, I’m explicitly focusing on my workflow.

Other times, I’m mainly interested in ends over means, usually by further amplifying upon pre-existing content. I skip getting into the details of my process.

I’m including this exhibit with my GST exhibits above because GST and Synergetics are already entangled, even within Bucky Fuller’s original 1970s magnum opus, Synergetics 1 and Synergetics 2.
