You cannot be fruitful if you're not seedful.

Everyone always wants the fruit. And wants the fruit RIGHT NOW.

The viral moment. The overnight hit. The check that changes everything. The launch that goes crazy. The following that appears out of nowhere. That’s what everyone is chasing - the harvest, the payoff, the visible win. And most people I know are quietly beating themselves up because they haven’t gotten there yet, or haven’t gotten there fast enough, or haven’t gotten there in the way they see other people getting there.

I have been one of those people. I can still be at times. But I have learnt something. And I want to say this plainly: you’re comparing wrong.

You’re comparing your seed years to somebody else’s fruit. And that math will make you miserable every single time. Because you can’t actually see what the seeds looked like for the person you’re comparing yourself to. You’re only seeing the harvest. You don’t see the years of putting things in the ground with no visible return. You don’t see the fifteen failed versions. You don’t see the plot they abandoned. You don’t see the seasons where nothing came up and they had to plant again.

And here’s the harder truth - a lot of the “overnight success” you’re comparing yourself to isn’t even real. It’s inflated. It’s borrowed. It’s leveraged. It’s a viral moment with nothing underneath it. It’s a business built on volume with no infrastructure. It’s a following built on being loud with no real trust behind it. And most of it will collapse within eighteen months because there were no seeds. There was only the appearance of fruit.

You cannot be fruitful if you’re not seedful.

That’s the whole thing. That’s the entire law of it. The quick grab doesn’t build anything that lasts. The overnight hit doesn’t hold. The virality without foundation is a spike that comes back down. The people who are actually winning, actually building wealth, actually creating something with staying power - they have all been seedful for years. Usually quietly. Usually invisibly. Usually while the rest of the world was watching someone else’s fireworks and calling that the success story. The loudest in the room rarely ends up as the winner

And I want to name what nobody wants to name: the seed years are lonely.

You’re planting and nothing is coming up yet. You’re pouring energy into something that has no visible return. You’re working while your friends are collecting the easy wins. You’re watching the fireworks happen for other people and having to remind yourself that the fireworks aren’t the point. That’s a specific kind of psychological weight. And most people can’t hold it. They quit. Or they pivot to something faster. Or they start chasing the fruit and abandon the seeds they were three years into growing.

That’s why the ones who do stay end up with everything. Because compounding is the most underrated force on the planet. Every month I’ve been in BRÛLÉ, the math has gotten a little more favorable. A little more inventory. A little more repeat customer. A little more revenue. A little more security. And it doesn’t look like much in any given month. But six months of it stacks. A year of it stacks harder. Two years starts to look like something that would take someone else a decade to build from scratch - because it would. That’s the whole point of seeds.

Here's what I've actually learned about the seed years, and I'm going to say it directly because I wish someone had said this to me three years ago.
