I have been quiet on here for a few weeks about the book update. Not because nothing is happening, but because a lot is happening and I wanted to wait until I had something concrete to share before I said anything.

Tomorrow’s email has that something concrete.

I sat down to work on the typesetting template for the redesign, just mapping out how the chapters should flow, and somewhere in that process I realized I was looking at a very different book from the one I originally published. Not just in layout. In content.

The update touches almost every chapter. New bodice methods. A torso block rebuilt properly from the ground up. Three sleeve variations instead of one. Three skirt methods. Dart charts that have never existed in the book before.

But more than the additions, what changed is the approach. The first edition taught one way to do each thing. The updated edition teaches you how to choose between methods depending on what your design actually needs. That shift changes what kind of book this is.
