Hey There,

This week on the podcast, I’m catching you up on our summer — including big news about Top of the World, a documentary that Ryan and I have been working on for the past couple of years. The film is about the iconic Windows on the World, the restaurant which was at the top of the World Trade Center. It premieres on CNN September 7th.

I’m also sharing what we’ve been up to this summer — neighborhood parties, houseguests, and building our dream house in the Hamptons. Plus I dive into your questions about what I’m reading and watching, my favorite Hamptons spots, my GLP-1 update, how to wash produce safely this summer, and a couple of celebrity run-in stories for good measure. And I’ve included my barbecue chicken recipe below.

And while you’re at it, head over to my YouTube channel (LINK) for more episodes plus my series

, where you’ll find the full recipes linked right in the caption.

xx, Katie

We've been enjoying neighborhood parties, houseguests, and building our dream house in the Hamptons — and then I dig into your questions: my grandma's barbecue chicken recipe, what I'm reading and watching, favorite Hamptons spots, my update on GLP-1s, and how to wash produce safely this summer. Plus a couple of celebrity run-in stories for good measure.

One of my favorite things is an impromptu dinner at home with friends, so I’m showing you one of my go-to summer entertaining menus. The star of the show is a bold grilled flank steak with chimichurri. The steak is seasoned with a "cowboy rub" (ground coffee mixed with spices), thanks to a recommendation from Ryan – it’s the kind of combination that sounds unexpected but absolutely works.

I sit down with Danny Freeman, the pasta-loving creator behind @dannylovespasta, to talk about his passion for all things carb-loaded and delicious. What started as a creative outlet during paternity leave from his job as a nonprofit lawyer, quickly turned into a full-time career that Danny hasn’t looked back on. Now a proud dad of two girls and the creator of a popular viral Lasagna Soup recipe (yes, listen in for all the details), he’s celebrating the release of his second cookbook Italian-ish, packed with easy pasta recipes, quick sheet pan meals, and irresistible Italian-inspired dishes you’ll want to make on repeat.
