Hopeful + Horny · Hopeful + Horny

I’ve heard it’s Friday! I’m coming to you bleary-eyed from Deadline City (four days until revisions are due on Hot Gay Rival Thieves; three weeks until the first draft of my December release is due). So this is just a quick-and-dirty hello because my brain feels like a bowl of soup. 😛

But I do love getting to spend time in the world I’ve created for my rival thieves (who just had their first makeout…one hero called the other hero a ‘naughty boy’!!!). It looks a bit like this:

A couple other reminders:

  • I’m signing from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Cupid’s Bookshop in Manayunk tomorrow (Saturday) for Romance Bookstore Day. Come say hi!

  • Hello Lovely has some gorgeous, special edition, hard-cover copies of FREE FALL for sale on their website and they are truly to die for. Get ‘em here if you’re a big fan of Luke + Elijah. (who isn’t??)

  • Amazon has put the WILD OPEN HEARTS e-book on sale for $2.99 this month (usually $5.99). Get it here. If you haven’t enjoyed Luna and Beck’s sexy, summer-y, opposites attract romance, now’s the time!

It was my 40th birthday on Tuesday and the weekend before all I really wanted was to go somewhere with a pool and float around for 48 straight hours. Which is what I did! This is the only picture I took because I was in the water like the whole time:

Walter was so happy just to sunbeam with us while we floated around. I did head into town to a local bookstore to shop (Queen Takes Book in Maryland) and was surprised to find me!

So if you live near that store, there is one signed copy of THRILL OF THE CHASE for ya!

First (for the fellow thriller girlies) — I devoured this book:

A page-turning debut mystery that’s as addictive as a late-night Reddit binge, about a grieving woman obsessed with solving her sister’s cold-case disappearance via the true crime fandom

Perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn,

My Favorite Murder, and Fleabag

Ten years ago, Theodora “Teddy” Angstrom’s older sister, Angie, went missing. Her case remains unsolved. Now Teddy’s father, Mark, has killed himself. Unbeknownst to Mark’s family, he had been active in a Reddit community fixated on Angie, and Teddy can’t help but fall down the same rabbit hole.

Teddy’s investigation quickly gets her in hot water with her gun-nut boyfriend, her long-lost half brother, and her colleagues at the prestigious high school where she teaches English. Further complicating matters is Teddy’s growing obsession with Mickey, a charming amateur sleuth who is eerily keen on helping her solve the case.

Bewitched by Mickey, Teddy begins to lose her moral compass. As she struggles to reconcile new information with old memories, her erratic behavior reaches a fever pitch, but she won’t stop until she finds Angie—or destroys herself in the process.

RABBIT HOLE

…then Rob and I had a truly delightful time finally watching ‘Nobody’. It was a fucking blast:

watch the trailer

Okay, I gotta get back to it. Wish me luck!

xoxo
