🕵️‍♀️ My Grandfather Charles Manson (Hulu) is about Sophia’s search to identify her unknown grandfather, which leads to a shocking discovery: he’s Charles Manson, history’s most notorious criminal. She notices striking physical similarities between him and her own beloved father. Her quest pulls her into an underworld of Manson family members and unreliable narrators as she tries to trace his life. One of the most talked-about premieres of the summer, and for good reason. 💔 A Toxic Love Story (Netflix) takes place in a California suburb, where a young woman’s arrest for a violent fantasy plot becomes a sensational scandal. The truth stays hidden behind a sophisticated web of deception. As the investigation peels back layer after layer of betrayal, it’s genuinely unclear who’s the victim and who’s the villain. Everyone here is playing a part. (July 22)

🕯️ People Magazine Investigates: The Cult of the Soulful Journey (ID Discovery) unpacks the stories of former Soulful Journey members, tracing the psychological, emotional, and spiritual toll of their time in Soulaire Allerai’s world. Heavy subject matter, but an important watch if you follow the cult-doc space. (July 21)

🔪 A Killer Among Friends — Season 2 (ID Discovery) has a six-episode season exploring how one devastating crime can tear apart a close-knit friend group while exposing the secrets hiding in plain sight.

July 20 — “Secret Life of a Private Eye”: A Florida woman vanishes, and her friends accidentally uncover her hidden life full of secret relationships — shifting suspicion to someone in her own inner circle.

🏀 Life in the W (ESPN) is a six-part series with access to three of the WNBA’s most accomplished and influential players during a groundbreaking year: A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces), Napheesa Collier (Minnesota Lynx), and DeWanna Bonner (Phoenix Mercury). (July 24)
