Happy first full day of summer.

I woke this morning to the expected June gloom, but the sun’s warmth is already breaking through the thinning cloud cover, as if offering a peek into what this season may hold.

Today I find myself reflecting that spring was preparatory: steadfastly and intentionally creating the conditions to live from a place of grounded authenticity.

And as summer approached, the energy began to shift.

More heat.
More vitality.
More movement.
More expression.

As though spring was about groundwork, and summer is about embodiment.

And perhaps that sounds beautiful in theory… until we realize that living what we created is often more vulnerable than creating it.

Because living asks more of us.

Not permission, but participation.
Not waiting, but entering.
Not imagining, but inhabiting.

Lately, I’ve been realizing that living the conditions I’ve been creating requires not only permission, but encouragement. Validation. Trusting that this movement toward peace, presence, ease, joy, wonder, and authenticity is not superficial, indulgent, or simply going through the motions.

It is the work.

And yet, release remains part of the process.

Because letting go does not mean it disappears.

Old narratives linger. Old identities echo. Decades of “should,” “supposed to,” and inherited rules do not quietly pack their bags and leave the moment we choose differently.

The residue remains for a while.

But perhaps living is not waiting for silence; it is learning to speak a new language.

Programming a new code. Writing new rules.

Not through force. But through repetition. Returning to ourselves again and again through what is true.

One of those new rules for me has become this:

Do not view life through the lens of later, view it through the lens of right now.

What is true right now?
What is beautiful right now?
What is alive right now?

Because perhaps living is not arriving at some future version of ourselves, it is inhabiting this one.

Fully.
Imperfectly.
Presently.

Living becomes possible when we stop waiting for the conditions to feel perfect and begin inhabiting the ones we have already created.

Your Sacred Invitation this week is to live.

Notice where old stories still speak. And instead of fighting them, ask yourself:

What new truth am I practicing?

What would living look like right now?

Then begin there.
