At the onset of summer, our sacred invitation was to LIVE. To step into and participate in the lives we had been creating rather than waiting for some future moment when we might finally feel ready.

Along the way, we’ve explored what it means to embody those conditions, allowing what has changed within us to become reflected in how we move through the world.

And then last week, we arrived at EMERGE.

This one wasn’t really about doing at all. It was revelation. The realization that transformation doesn’t suddenly happen at the threshold. Because the light was already there.

And now I find myself wondering, what happens after we recognize that the threshold simply made visible what had been transforming all along?

Because there is a subtle difference between preparing for change by creating the conditions for something new to blossom—and allowing ourselves to live as though it already belongs to us.

Which made me think about the difference between moving into a new house and realizing, somewhere along the way, I now live here.

Moving in means the boxes have arrived, the utilities are set up, and furniture starts being assembled. But inhabiting… that happens gradually.

We learn where the morning light falls. We plant something and watch it grow. Invite people in. Establish rhythms and rituals. Make choices based not on what was here before, but on how we want to live now.

For much of this year, I’ve been intentionally creating conditions for how I want to live—peace, connection, creativity, beauty, authenticity. And lately I’ve begun noticing that some of what once felt like practices designed to help me create my life don’t feel like practices anymore.

Morning coffee and birdsong. Writing. Time in my garden. Meaningful friendships and community. Making choices from what feels true rather than what is expected.

They are no longer simply scaffolding for a life I’m building: they are how I live.

So, maybe we don’t need to immediately reach for the next transformation. What if we take pauses to put our things down, come all the way inside, and stay awhile?

Your Sacred Invitation this week is to inhabit.

Notice where you may still be treating your emerging life as somewhere you’re visiting, and ask,

What has already become yours?

What no longer feels like preparation, but simply the way you live?

Perhaps inhabiting begins when we stop asking what comes next long enough to recognize: I am here. I live here now.
