”MASH “ was played by American actor Edward Dean Winter.
Winter portrayed the neurotic, paranoid, and overzealous U.S. Army intelligence officer from 1973 to 1979, appearing in seven episodes during the show’s 11-year run. Before becoming Flagg, he had appeared in the Season 2 episode “Deal Me Out” as Captain Halloran, a role some fans believe may have been one of Flagg’s aliases.
Edward Winter (born June 3, 1937, in Ventura, California; died March 8, 2001) was also known for his Tony Award–nominated stage work in Cabaret and Promises, Promises, as well as TV roles in Project U.F.O. and Herman’s Head.
