The Justice Definitions Project is a community-led effort to build a public Wiki that explains the Indian justice system in plain language. In our last season, we’ve seen record growth in both our content and the people behind it.
We’ve been busy making legal knowledge easier to find and understand:
440 Terms & Counting: We are continuously adding new entries this season, focusing on the topics that matter most today—like Data Protection, Environmental Law, and Criminal Justice.
20+ Indian Languages: Through our translation tool, you can now explore the Wiki in your preferred Indian regional language.
143K+ Global Viewership: More people than ever are using the Wiki to navigate the legal landscape!
A New Home: We’ve moved to a dedicated domain to make it easier for you to find us.
The Wiki isn’t just a website; it’s a thriving community of over 450 members. In the last quarter, we hit some incredible milestones:
Student Research Associates (SRAs): We’ve significantly expanded our reach! With the addition of 44 new SRAs representing 8 different colleges, working hands-on to curate and refine high-quality legal content, our community is stronger than ever.
Our Reviewer Community: A dedicated group of 43 subject-matter experts—including lawyers, professors, and researchers—now provides mentorship and ensures every definition is accurate and reliable.
Institutional Partners: We teamed up with 6 major organizations, including NLSIU Bengaluru and DNLU Jabalpur, to host “Edit-a-thons” and expert consultations.
