It’s been a long time coming since I was writing alternate history articles, and I feel like it is an interesting genre to work on. I have to admit that I haven’t been that active in my personal writing work for the past few months and years since I got married and have had a little one to take care of.
I feel like 2026 is the best time to start something new and get myself up and running once again. Back in the day, I had a separate alternate history blog that I had built from the ground up, but suddenly, I lost traction and decided to deactivate it for good. I managed to migrate some of the articles and merge them with my existing website Istoryadista. This time, I want to do things differently and monetize my work properly since it’s not easy to create new content and keep up with it.
The only way to keep me going is to earn something out of it somehow.
I want to explore the what-ifs, the twists of fate, and the butterfly effect when a pivotal moment in history goes in a different direction and diverges from the historical timeline that we know.
What happens? A whole new world, a multiverse of different variations of reality, independent from each other.
Inspired by Marvel and DC Comics, and a whole host of alternate history movies from Back to the Future to Man in the High Castle, I will be publishing monthly starting January 2026 (if all goes to plan).
I might still work on some articles that I will publish on one of my blogs for free, but these would take a bit more effort, so I would have to put them behind a paywall. To get people on board, I might give out discount codes just to get things running and drive traffic and interest.

What if the Axis Powers won World War 2?
What if the Roman Empire survived and reached the modern age?
What if William the Conqueror failed to ‘conquer’ England?
What if Spain had never colonized the ‘Philippines’?
These are just the tip of the iceberg, and I’m hoping things will go as planned.
Who knows, I might expand my work and resurrect one of my dormant projects in retrofuturism.
