Visualizations and diagrams are widely used in psychotherapy, coaching, and organizational practice to make abstract processes tangible and communicable. In Solution Focused (SF) practice, which emphasizes minimalism, responsiveness, and co-construction, the adoption of diagrams raises distinctive opportunities and challenges. This article presents a narrative literature review and critical reflection on visualizations of SF practice published between 2002 and 2023. It identifies two main families of models—quadrant models that map theoretical orientations and flow/process models that depict conversational movement. The analysis considers their pedagogical strengths, theoretical assumptions, and limitations. The article argues that while visualizations support teaching, communication, and professionalization, they also risk oversimplifying or distorting SF’s focus on the emergence of a conversation.
