Two women in a coffee shop. One says: “I had an AI boyfriend, but he got too needy, so now I’m dating my Waze App.”

This is far from far-fetched.

John Stanley was the genius behind “Little Lulu” (and I mean GENIUS), so I was delighted to find these “Nellie the Nurse” stories:

They’re amusing, but that’s all. Stanley was best when dealing with children, and taking them seriously. This is just too silly (like his later Tubby stories). Plus he’s doing his own art, which is adequate, but doesn’t compare in any remote way with the work of his best collaborator, Irving Tripp.
