Have We Been Told The Truth

I’ve been thinking about truth for a few days now and wondering just how much of the world is built on truth and how much on lies. How much of what we are told is true, and how much is meant to manipulate us into thinking, behaving and feeling like "authorities" (political, religious, educational to name but a few) want us to.

I know for sure that for longer than any of us can remember we have been taught to hate... hate others who look differently, who sound differently, who have different cultural beliefs. I know we were taught to judge others as if we are so much better that we have the right to tell them whether or not what they can say, do, believe is acceptable. We were taught to love money, to chase it, to make it part of our dreams and to need it to be successful.

And i have seen in the last 5 years that if you don't fall in line with all of that then you are considered part of the fringe minority, a conspiracy theorist, a derelict of society and the "powers that be" inform their followers that those who walk a different path should be shunned bcuz they do not care about others. But is that true? I know of several people that "authorities" might deem troublemaking, propagandists but from what i have seen they are just trying to shine light in a peaceful way on what they see happening around them in their country, in the world. These people do not threaten violence if you do not agree with them, nor do they threaten internment. So why does it matter so much to authorities if they speak out against what they feel is an attack on their unalienable rights? Why, if the information they share is "misinformation" are they so readily arrested? Perhaps it is bcuz speaking truth in this fabricated and controlled world is a revolutionary act that could lead to peace and true freedom.
