49. Solo exhibition in Osaka.

Dear friends,

My grandfather was a traveling salesman. When I was young, he would send me postcards from places he went. The scenes printed on them were often quite ordinary. To me, though, they were far more interesting than photographs of famous landmarks.

I am pleased to announce that Gallery Room305 in Osaka, Japan will be holding a solo exhibition of my new work, Postcards from Tokyo. The exhibition runs from August 12-16. Gallery hours are 2-8pm daily, and 12-6pm on Sunday.

Also in August: my photography collective, VoidTokyo, will be releasing Volume 11 of its long-running photography magazine. This issue includes a 10-page feature of my work. My photographs also appear in the front and back matter, and on the back cover.

During the pre-order period, which starts today, we are offering special sets that include signed 8x10 prints. You can choose from three of my photographs, as well as from those by Tatsuo Suzuki and the other participating photographers. It’s a rare offering—please take a look.
