Dear friends,
This is just a short newsletter, to share some of my current activities.
I have joined Gallery Room305, an Osaka gallery and publisher. Currently on view is our members’ exhibition, Ziga. Then, opening next week, is our show on the theme of springtime, Haru. I’m showing work in both of them. If you are in Osaka, please drop by. Details for these and future exhibitions are at this link:

I am also continuing on as a member of VoidTokyo. We have begun work on VoidTokyo Vol. 11, which we expect to publish this summer. In the meantime, volumes 9 and 10 continue to be available in our webshop:
Since my last newsletter, I have written and mailed nearly 120 postcards. If you would like me to send you a postcard with one of my photographs, just let me know. (They are free!) A little more about that here:
I have also been building a collection of old Japanese postcards, with a focus on photographic cards that portray life in Tokyo before 1940. Below are a few of the recent additions to my collection.
In future newsletters, I plan to say about the history of postcards in Japan, and to share some more items from my collection. I am grateful to have you as a reader.
From Tokyo,
Joel
