TORMENTOR, a new Broken Veil one-off story is out today.

When we did Tond, our Christmas Ghost Story, the idea was to do one for each season. Because Broken Veil II took longer to make than we’d expected, that series crashed over our planned May Day special, but we have made one for the Summer Holidays and we’re very pleased with it.
The reader is a total hero of ours, Jack Docherty, whose glorious voice was such a big part of both our teenage comedy worlds.
He was as brilliant as we’d expected. It’s a pleasure to be able to call up and ask favours of someone like that. But he jumped at the chance, and made the thing fly, which was amazing.
Tormentor is a horror story in bright sunshine, something Will’s been talking about as ‘Solar Gothic’. Stuff like The Wicker Man, Midsommar, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Picnic at Hanging Rock. And of course his own book Solace House. Perfect time of year for this. Try it on headphones in a sun lounger. Hope it spoils your day.
