Often, laxity comes over our hearts, and we say, “We’ve done enough and will rest in the peace God hath given us.”
But then a storm arises, turning our life upside down and tearing it asunder. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Then we are aroused and seek God for help. For our God is always rousing our spirit to draw closer and to be united with Him, our final goal.
But if we aren’t aroused, would we be content with not being fully united with Christ?
If we are invited to a wedding ceremony, would we be satisfied with only standing outside the church and watching the processions through the window? No, we would open the door and go inside.
Let us love, praise, honor, and worship our Lord Jesus Christ with fervor; let us come to His Holy Kingdom and rush in.
