Scotland’s “Tartan Army” Leaves Lasting Gifts for RI Kids
While many Scottish World Cup fans visited Boston, a large portion of the Tartan Army stayed in and around Providence, RI. In a show of thanks for the local hospitality, they raised and distributed $10,000 to the pediatric cancer unit at Hasbro Children's Hospital, $10,000 to RI Youth Soccer’s program for underserved youth, and $6,500 to help start a local bagpipe tuition program in schools.
