August is a swampy hell in which only bugs thrive. I dissent.
It is also the time I am off from work. And the one time of year I’d rather be working.
I tend to set aside time to cry a lot, stare at a blinking cursor, write some bad poems, murder mosquitoes, eat nothing but ice cream and tomatoes (not at the same time usually) and seriously consider sabotaging my life.
Happy August! Thanks for being here. LOLS LOLS
This week’s Substack is brought to you by my least favorite month. Brace yourself, comrades!
Come hang with me online at Hudson Valley Writers Center (virtual) or Poets House (in-person in NYC or online) in September!
