Hello!
First, some news: I decided to move this newsletter to Substack. This means the next email you get from me will be a little different. But you don’t need to do anything, I’ll migrate the subscribers from here to the other, it should be easy.
No real big reason for the change except that I like the way newsletters look at Substack, more like blog entries, and it’s easier to read back on the archive. Mailchimp’s archive pages are small and not very informative, and over time, I realized it would be helpful to have a backlog that’s easier to browse.
Over at Substack, newsletters have titles, and mine will be called Once or Twice because I write to you once or twice a month. (Look, I had no idea how to name this, it was the best I could come up with.)
Hope this move goes smoothly! I’ve been writing here regularly since 2019 (!) You are about 400 reading (well, at least opening) my emails every month and I really like this space!
January started busier than usual, with me running around finishing two book projects: A detective story, for Planeta Tangerina, and a collaborative book published with Cuistax. Now that it’s all out of my hands and on its way to be printed, I’m in that weird state when you finish a big thing, thinking, «So, what do I do now? »
I spent a week just going around doing house chores I had postponed for months. Now, all my skirt hems are fixed, the wools are handwashed, and I am ready to sit back at my desk and excited to start things up all over again.
Of course, I will promptly spam you as soon as these books come out of the printer. I'm not sure when, but you'll hear from me.
