Week of July 19

📆 It’s been one year since I started posting these weekly recaps, and I’ve actually managed to keep up with it every week. They’re never anything earth shattering or even really all that important, but they’ve kept me posting something each week, which was the goal when I started posting them. Yay, go me, I guess 😂

❤️ Nick arrived on Wednesday (he was supposed to get here on Tuesday but his flight was cancelled due to weather) And somebody was VERY happy that her boy was back. Alex is going to come out in September for a couple of weeks before he starts his college classes in October.

🏠 My brother and niece were at my mom’s on Friday night to participate in the lake “swim” on Saturday (they were paddle boarding, not swimming) so we went over to see everyone. I got a few pics while we were at the beach and they were testing the boards. We’ll be going back today for a picnic. My parents and their friends have been doing Sunday picnics there for 45+ years and it was a huge part of my childhood. Their numbers are thinning these days — many of the husbands have passed — but the ladies still show up every week.
