Welcome. I'm Jessie-Sierra, a former ballerina turned cookbook author and food TV host. Pull up a chair, there's coffee and cake. This is a place for anyone who loves a full table and wants it to feel easier to pull off. Every week I share a seasonal recipe worth making twice, a make-ahead plan so the day itself stays calm, and the story behind both. Beautiful and complicated are not the same thing. I have spent a career learning the difference, and I'd love to show you how!

Hello hello!

Big news! I’m leaning into my passion for flowers in a BIG way. I’m excited to share that I will be teaching at the Dahlia Design Summit this year, and I wanted you to hear about it directly from me before early bird pricing disappears.

Every gardener and flower grower I know has a story about how flowers found them. Mine started with an almost ancestral lineage of overflowing flower beds and fruit trees from my Baba’s (Ukrainian for grandmother) garden, and continues to this day in my own bee-buzzing flower garden in the Valley. This summit is a gathering of people with that same story: growers, designers, photographers, artists, who came to dahlias through their love for the plant, and who learned, mostly by trial and error, how to make something beautiful with them. Design is the bridge between growing the flower and sharing it at the dinner table. That’s the whole idea behind this summit, and it’s why I had to say yes!

Here’s the short version: five days, all online, and all focused on the dahlia. Growers, farmer-florists, and designers who do this work for a living with passion and gusto, will be teaching you what works. No filler.

My session is on tablescaping, something I love and showcase so often on my socials and in my cooking + home entertaining book. I’ll be walking you through how to set an elegant table without a lot of fuss, and this is the part I’m most excited to teach - how to arrange dahlias organically as both centerpiece and décor, while making sure we keep the spirit of gathering and conversation at the forefront. This is a great opportunity to pick up my top tips for arranging a dahlia-centric tablescape, whether you are a home entertainer or grower looking to expand your offerings with “dinner-on-the-farm” events.

  • A backyard or small-scale grower who wants to design with what you harvest

  • An aspiring farmer-florist eyeing weddings and event work

  • A florist who wants a closer relationship to dahlia growing

  • A hobby gardener ready to graduate from grocery store bouquets

  • Anyone who loves dahlias and wants to do something beautiful with them

The dates: Live September 13-18, 2026.

The pricing: and this is the part with a deadline. Early bird runs now through August 9th:

  • All five days, live

  • Live Q&A panels each evening, 3pm PT/6pm ET

  • Private Facebook community

  • 24-hour replay window per session

  • Everything above, plus:

  • Lifetime access to every session replay

Growing dahlias is just the first half of the story. It’s the design that turns a field of blooms into a table that will never be forgotten! Pull up a chair and grab your ticket, I’ll be waiting for you in the garden!

Cheers!

xx, Jessie-Sierra
