Here’s a new rough sketch, exclusive for paying supporters.
As you may have heard, a solar eclipse is on the way for Wednesday. Considering that editors need to work ahead, I’m working on this tonight so that I can send it out first thing tomorrow for possibly publication on Wednesday or even after. The way I’ve designed this cartoon it will still be relevant after the eclipse, which makes it more marketable.
When coming up with ideas I will often riff off some visual aspect of a thing that I find interesting. For me, eclipse glasses, for whatever reason, are interesting. They’re sort of like old-school 3D glasses, although completely different. So let’s just say, please don’t mix them up.
On another note, if you Google “Solar Eclipse,” it’s kind of a fun thing to see what happens. At least this fun thing happened for me--assuming it’ll work for you, too. Let me know!
