If you follow me on Instagram then you have heard the news… my studio is moving. With the current direction of my practice, I have been spending more and more time at a place in Raleigh called Shopspace. Since Octoberish they have started building out studio spaces and every time I would weld there I would feel even more drawn to working in that space full time. AND I was schlepping even more things back and forth to the studio from my working time at Shopspace.

This month is the last of my lease and coming up on the end of my second year at Artspace. The space, the community, the artists, and the staff at Artspace have been absolutely incredible and it has been such a bittersweet decision to leave but a necessary one.

Forging, welding, a sanding room, and any woodworking tool at my grasp at any moment. Yes please.

So, this upcoming Friday, June 6th, will be my last First Friday as an artist in the building. Come by for a slice of cake and a hug! After that, my studio will be by appointment only and I look forward to seeing you in my new space.

I will be moving into Shopspace in July and starting to build it out. :)

In other news, I am looking forward to getting settled in quickly as I have a robust Fall/Winter coming up.
