What a strange, fascinating direction the world is heading. Every product team seems intent on ramming AI into anything with a user interface, whether it makes life easier or just adds friction. Greenfield projects at least get to start fresh, but retrofitting AI into everything feels like duct tape on duct tape on duct tape (recursive function… and then… and then… and then…):
The line between truth and fabrication
The bigger shift is scarier and more profound: as generative AI improves, the line between truth and fabrication dissolves. A real video of a shooting and an AI-generated video of a shooting are becoming indistinguishable. What counts as real anymore?
Even the chorus of G9ngstab9by’s AI freestyle captures this new tension and awareness of AI being a defence for criminal offences, shootings and murders:
“Put three in that bitch and he ain’t die, damn That wasn’t me, that was AI.”
The future isn’t just about better tools. It’s about living in a world where reality itself is contested.
