Choo choo! All aboard the Nuss Bus!

While Garrett Nussmeier’s chance to play the entirety of the Chiefs’ preseason finale is probably the most exciting part about Friday night’s game, this will be an important few days for the team as a whole.

In light of the team’s trade for New York Giants offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu, it’s worth remembering that the Chiefs appear to be—and, frankly, should be—more open for business than they’ve been in years past.

The Chiefs have legitimate depth questions at several position groups, and the current core special teamers don’t seem entirely safe at their current spots. With the team’s long-discussed needs at tight end, the recently developing questions on the offensive line, only two linebacker spots entirely solidified, and a defensive line that could use at least one more healthy body, Friday’s game could bring a final argument from current Chiefs, while Brett Veach and Co. appear willing to watch the waiver wire as rosters are trimmed down on Sunday.
