Hardware is sometimes just as weird as software: a Touch Bar on my MacBook Pro died a couple years ago so I got a new laptop but held on to the broken one due to low resale value, hoping that maybe I’ll turn it into a home server or something (guess whether that happened). Long story short, I had to boot it today to check one random thing and guess what? The stupid Touch Bar works now!!!

Somewhat unintentionally, my Souls journey went from Bloodborne to Dark Souls 2 to Dark Souls 3 to Elden Ring. Now I’m finally playing the original Dark Souls (the remaster) and this game held up exceptionally well. All these years later, it may still be the best in the genre.

Russian Circles played in Philly last night, and, mid-set, the guitarist suddenly stopped the song and proceed to duct tape something on his pedalboard before resuming. The crowd roared in support the whole time. Amazing show, and the glimpse of “how the sausage is made” made it even more memorable.

It is almost funny how bad the Aeropress Pro is compared to the original: it’s heavy and unstable, takes a while to preheat (and then it’s too hot when it’s time to clean), it drips faster (I guess, metal against metal doesn’t seal as well) and takes up more space. It does look kinda cool though.

Just today, a driver turning right *from a bike lane* tried to cut me off and then got so enraged that I honked, she tailgated me for half a mile on I-95 waving to move to the shoulder before giving up. Our family spent this cold and dreary afternoon solving a puzzle by @ nervous_jessica . So satisfying, even on a hardcore difficulty where a 4 y/o will occasionally pick up random pieces and carry them away “to solve [his] own puzzle”.
