Took the kids to see Toy Story 5 last night. Fun!
Finished reading, “Waxing On.” I enjoyed the parts specific to the original two movies. Little was said about the third or (4th) “The Next Karate Kid.” I also liked some...
Lately I’ve been focused on reading and enjoying good books. It’s been relaxing and wholesome. That’s partly why I’ve written less for my blog in recent weeks. Reading long-form is a priority. It’s one of my three core habits or practices. The other two are exercising and seeking. They each correspond to the core human areas. These are: Physical - body Mental - mind Spiritual - soul
So my main phone was my iPhone 15 Pro, but now it’s (once again) my Moto Razr 2024 in Spritz Orange. It’s still working great, and I prefer some of...
[Homescreen on Android. Moved eSIM from iPhone to Razr today.]
About a week ago, I wrote about the iPhone SE3 I just bought renewed, in excellent condition, for $130. Today I realized that is less than the $150 sale price...
[Now reading…Waxing On]
[Both play audio well. One is $12. One is $250.]
[Another new-to-me book to-read…someday.]
[Finished reading Bonhoeffer today.]
[75% through Bonhoeffer.]
Good news: I rolled the dice and scored another great iPhone from Amazon Renewed. It’s in excellent condition, as listed, and even has 93% battery health. Win! It is a remarkable deal, an iPhone SE 3 64GB for $130 USD. It could replace my hefty iPhone 15 Pro but it’s for my son. His iPhone SE 2 was dying; we prefer thriving.
[Just over half-way through Bonhoeffer.]
[The Convenience Trap available Nov. 17, 2026.]
[New journal stickers.][New notebook.]
[Today I reached 25% through Bonhoeffer.]
“Analog Maximalism” is another way to say “Digital Minimalism.” The point is to focus more on what you’re doing and less on what you’re trying to not be doing. It’s like minding the positive over the negative. The benefits of an analog lifestyle are easier to obtain this way, while avoiding a relapse to a digital lifestyle and its detriments.
““Tables are finally available in Pika! Yes, tables.”” YESSSSS! 🤓
[Another new hardback. Will be a re-read.]
[New alarm clock.][No more bedside phone.]
[New release; it’s my pastor’s testimony!][New arrival — should be great!]
There’s still one week left in July, but it’s been a relatively quiet month for me on the blog; I’ve written very few articles. Why? Because…change. I’ve been offline more — trying to be. And I’m handwriting posts-in-draft. That’s very different. It’s slower, less efficient. Yet I prefer it because it helps me be more intentional, helps me think. And I actually like the process.
[Another new book today. 🤓]
[Finally started reading this.]
