The five days I spent on the Nile quietly reshaped the way I perceive abundance now. The lushness that lines the banks, the sweeping waters, the gentle way in which it holds you, carrying you into an expansive unknown.
The stillness and the presence. The blues and greens carved through the desert landscape. The lushness of the vegetation that marked the coastline, rising in beauty and power against the blue skies beyond.
This time felt mystical and otherworldly. Like we’d descended into a liminal space, mesmerized by the overlapping dimensions of time and space. It had a dream-like quality, outside of time itself, in which everything felt possible.
And it was fascinating to me, how for thousands of years one of the most important and powerful civilizations that has ever existed on Earth, was fed and nourished by this body of water that rose and fell with the seasons.
They paid attention to this river. They communicated with it, they marked its activities alongside those of the heavens. They lived in communion with this river, and marked its banks with temples and pyramids, buildings designed to connect them to their deities and the great beyond.
It struck me that the Nile is so much more than a river. It’s an activated threshold, a liminal space between the earth and the sky that fed not just their bodies, but also their spirits.
Its flooding was welcomed, a portend of abundance, one that marked a greater yield for their crops. As we were carried along it, I felt its allyship, a deep feeling of being in it together with its waters. My inner state of awareness was heightened.
I was able to better understand why the ancients celebrated this river and how when Sirius experienced its heliacal rise, which was their New Year, it was much more than a celebration. It was gratitude. It was a return offering for all they were being provided with. I’m not sure I fully understood this until I was transported along it, until I skimmed its surface, until I allowed it to carry me along its waters, or experienced the richness of its offerings.
I imagined the power of welcoming its rising waters, and of noticing how the abundance of the earth was mirrored in the heavens… and vice versa.
And something that these cultures shared was the knowledge that cosmic occurrences operated as portals, or gateways to greater opportunity and abundance. Their calendars revolved around these events and the cycles of the moons and stars because that was how they understood the inner workings of the Universe. So they paid attention.
We’ve gotten really good at celebrating things because, “Oh my God, abundance!” And there’s nothing wrong with that because, heck — abundance is awesome. But how often do we pause and take in the true opportunity that sits within the gateway? How often do we descend into the energetics of the experience?
Over the last many years, we’ve talked about “the Lion’s Gate,” a profound cosmic portal that coincides with the rise of Sirius and the abundance of the ancient Egyptian New Year. That expression was only recently coined though. And it’s a really fucking cool expression, très catchy. Plus it happens during the sign of Leo and what’s not to love about lions? Sprinkle all of that with some sugar-coated prosperity codes and we’ve got a party going down!
But it’s one thing to know that the Lion’s Gate is happening and it’s another to really sit with it. To take in what that means for us now. After spending that time on the Nile and experiencing that profound gateway, and now being poised upon another threshold, it’s sinking much deeper into my being what this whole thing is about.
Life is a series of thresholds, and we can choose to cross them or we can opt to stay put, turn back even. There were years of my life in which I puttered around in circles on the other side of the gateways my higher self invited me into. Fear. Scarcity. Disbelief in myself. Those frequencies kept me looking down at my feet and back towards my past instead of pulling me forward into the unknown.
I’ve gotten good at saying yes, at accepting the invitations even when they are scary AF. Maybe even especially when they are scary AF. And what I’ve noticed is that it’s not always easy to say yes to something, even when we want it. “Abundance” sounds really cool. Of course we all want it. But do we want it enough to surrender? Are we open enough to actually flow with the river, to let it guide us into the unknown? Are we available to Spirit, willing to turn ourselves over to what it actually takes to receive?
I spent years wanting a “better” life. But it was the day that I decided that the better life was right here right now that actually delivered it. And that meant saying yes to things that scared me. To things that opened me. To things that awakened something indomitable within me.
It’s not always the easy path, but it is the simple path. It’s also the-super-fun-even-when-it’s-scary-AF path.
Abundance isn’t actually a number that sits in my bank account, though I can have fun with big numbers. It’s a way of living, a way of saying “fuck yes!” to life and to the doorways that call me forward.
This pilgrimage is a big one. Perhaps one of the largest thresholds of my life, along with motherhood. But it’s the smaller thresholds that have led me here. The many doorways that guided me through to the bigger yes. Every single one of them landed me here, six days out from boarding a plane with a one-way ticket to Malta and beyond.
This Lion’s Gate, I’m celebrating that. Perhaps my greatest wealth code at the moment is the way in which I embrace life, run headlong into it, letting it lead me and hold me, much like the Nile did.
If you’re like me, and you love to walk through a good doorway while you’re in a threshold space, I’d love for you to join me and my soul bestie, Ina Lukas, for a powerful Lion’s Gate Wealth Code activation.
For you, this could mean money-in-the-bank wealth codes, or it could be opportunity codes. Creativity codes. Connection codes. However it shows up for you, wealth lives within you, and this activation is an opportunity to awaken codes that have been dormant so that you can be invited into a new way of experiencing life.
Our activations are like cosmic launching pads to activate your spiritual codes. And in this Lion’s Gate portal, when the rays of Sirius are providing you with potent light upgrades, this activation is one of the things that can turn a threshold into a new way of experiencing life. Join us here.
