Tony Abbott (or God forbid Scott Morrison) had joked about the Japanese Prime Minister’s “melons” …
… Tanya Plibersek, Grace Tame and Brittany Higgins would already be orbiting Parliament House like a squadron of feminist attack drones.
There would be solemn press conferences. Furious statements. Demands for apologies.
We’d hear the word “misogyny” shouted so loudly it would probably be audible from the dark side of the Moon.
But when Albo does it?
Crickets.
Apparently sexism is only sexism when the wrong person says it.
The Left are nothing if not consistent in their inconsistency.
Victoria’s Attorney General Sonya Kilkenny said just weeks ago that a Royal Commission into the CFMEU was “reckless” but now says a Royal Commission into the CFMEU is important …
… it’s just further proof that Victorian Labor politicians will say and do anything to keep their jobs.
They are shameless chameleons.
there was ever an argument for Australian Senators NOT having fixed six year terms …
… Lidia Thorpe is it.
Do I need to say any more?
She is using the Joint Standing Committee on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs to ferment race division, accusing white people of living on stolen land, living off stolen wealth and of failing to “pay rent” to black people.
Just on that … the failure of Aboriginal leaders to condemn Thorpe’s race baiting is telling.
The whole “reconciliation” project is, to my mind, a sick joke.
If reconciliation means anything, surely it means eventually reaching the point where one side stops telling the other side what it owes.
At this point, “reconciliation” looks only like an invoice.
local councils - who should focus on rates, roads and rubbish, often overreach their responsibilities …
tthis is one piece of council “overreach” I’m prepared to tolerate.
Strathfield Council wants English to be compulsory on business signs.
Businesses can still use whatever other languages they like. They just have to include English as well.
This is hardly cultural genocide.
It’s a shop sign.
And given that 73 per cent of the region’s 45,000 residents speak a language other than English, the council’s argument that English provides a common language seems fairly difficult to dismiss.
There are plenty of things councils should not be doing.
Making sure Australians can tell what a shop actually sells probably isn’t one of them.
Imagine that.
A government institution promoting the idea that everyone living in the same country should be able to understand one another.
How terribly old-fashioned.
you doubt whether or not the Albanese Labor Government fosters cultural ghettoisation in order to win votes …
what do you make of the fact that 85 percent of the almost $200m Supporting Multicultural Communities funding is funnelled into Labor seats?
Rather convenient.
Defence Minister Richard Marles boasts that RAAF jets will “soon” be fitted with the latest high tech AIM-260 missiles only for us to now discover that the weapons will not even be delivered to our airforce until 2033 at the earliest …
… at this rate, Australia will have a cutting-edge missile capability shortly after the Chinese acquire teleportation.
I fully expect that in the future he will announce the defence of Australia about a decade after the Chinese have invaded.
footy fans aren’t allowed to boo the enemy anymore for fear of damaging a player’s mental health …
boy oh boy have we all gone soft.
There’s outrage within the AFL this week after Carlton fans booed former Blues champion Jack Silvagni every time he got the ball. Silvagni now plays for St Kilda.
The game between Carlton and the Saints was themed around highlighting the importance of men’s mental health, something both teams recognised during the pre game warm up when they stood together in a circle.
Critics claim the crowd should have been more sensitive to the occasion when the game began.
Spare me.
you want to understand the Left …
consider that today the Democrats in Massachusetts legislated to allow abortion right up until birth. And as they signed the legislation in law, they all applauded.
I remember Tony Abbott saying that abortion should be safe, legal and rare.
I get that some people think abortion should be permissible. But to cheer and applause for the right to kill a baby in the womb the moment before it would be born is evil.
you want to understand just how huge the BBC’s bias against Israel is …
… consider this headline: “Israel accused of weaponising archeology at ancient West Bank sites.”
The story is about how the Israeli government wants to cordon an area of the West Bank off because of ancient Jewish ruins dating back thousands of years.
How crafty are the Jews then, hey? Three thousand years ago they deliberately left a bunch of stuff lying around so that they could use it as an excuse to dispossess the Palestinians in 2026.
The BBC neglects to mention in their story that the site in question was the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Israel and later a main city in the Kingdom of Judea.
Preserving history isn't weaponization; erasing it is. Once again, Jewish heritage is held to a standard no one else is.
