I wrote a couple of years ago about “Shitshow comedy”, and the very first example was DJ Akademiks’ accidentally breaking his computer by spilling water. Finally someone has made a frame by frame analysis, trying to work out exactly how it unfolded.
GitDiagram is an AI-powered tool that analyses GitHub repositories and outputs an overview diagram of the project in Mermaid format. Whilst I was skeptical, every repository I’ve tried has worked astonishingly well, for example simple projects like my blog theme, to chaotic messes like my old Android games.
MailTester is a site that I found very helpful for verifying the DMARC, DKIM, SPF (and other acronym…) records for my domain. Although it now seems offline, so your mileage may vary!
This article about AI-assisted coding by a very informative newsletter “The Pragmatic Engineer” had some great insights that mirror my experience, e.g.:
”The reality is that AI is like having a very eager junior developer on your team. They can write code quickly, but they need constant supervision and correction. The more you know, the better you can guide them.”
