As promised last week I’ll focus this week’s live Q&A for paid subscribers on Ukraine. Interesting things are happening. The Ukrainian pounding of the Russian Wildberries warehouses continued this week. On top of that Ukraine struck Russia’s leading rocket and space manufacturer, RDC Progress, which is located in the city of Samara.
Another interesting development is Ukraine’s estimate that the Russian army suffered almost 43.000 casualties during the month of July. That’s a whooping record up from around about 35.000 casualties in June. The Ukrainian estimates are made on the basis of verified images and therefore generally reliable.
Only three months ago both Zelensky and then defence minister Fedorov stated that the Ukrainian aim was to be able to inflict 50.000 casualties on the Russians each month. I certainly wouldn’t bet against them. Russia is able to mobilise approx 25.000 new soldiers a month, so they’re posting solid red figures at the moment!
