Intel Brief: European Security Live Q&A

Hey there everyone,

I do apologise that it has taken me a few days to send out the video of the live Q&A on Thursday for the ones that couldn’t make it live. Something odd happened so at first the recording didn’t even go up on my Substack homepage. Anyhow, it’s fixed now and as usual I attach it below.

There was one technical improvement: I got out my old laptop as a third device to get the chat going and I thought it worked quite well. I’ll keep that going, so from now on just post your questions in the chat for paid subscribers and I’ll make sure I reply afterwards to questions I don’t manage to address during the live session. I’ve just noticed a couple of question that have come in late and I’ll send you replies to those as well.

I briefed on three topics during the session:

1. Russian shadow war and the failed Leipzig attack. In addition I can tell you that there were sabotage attacks last week on ammunition plants in Italy and Bulgaria which underlines my main point: as long as the European countries don’t name, shame and find effective ways to retaliate the shadow war will continue and likely get worse. Kremlin sees the Europeans as weak when we don’t retaliate and therefore push the boundaries in the shadow war even further.

2. Europe’s ballistic missile crisis. The missile maths simply doesn’t add up. The European missile industry is inadequate and leaves us vulnerable!

3. Ukraine’s mid- and long range strike campaign continues.
