I’m headed to Knoxville, TN to play Big Ears with Simon Hanes’s Gargantua. Our record comes out March 27 and it’s really something. Three trombones, three french horns, three singers, three electric basses, and three drummers.

We play Sunday March 29 at Jackson Terminal at 4:45pm.

Kronos Quartet played NPR’s Tiny Desk and did my arrangements of Abel Meeropol/Billie Holliday’s “Strange Fruit” and Peni Candra Reni’s “Hujan”.

Kronos also has a new album due out next month called Glorious Mahalia. It features my arrangement of “God Shall Wipe All Tears Away” which you can preview now.

The concert at Roulette honoring tuba legend Bob Stewart was a big hit. You can view it here. I played with Very Very Circus, around 1:59.

A few more things recently came online: Mary Halvorson’s Amaryllis at the Berlin Jazzfest back in November 2025.

and the same band in Padova, Italy in October 2025 (scroll down and log in to listen)

Lastly, and most importantly, my video demonstrating a kazoo stuck in a plunger mute has gone viral and received 180,000 views and 16,500 likes. I eagerly anticipate what happens next: vast riches, recognition on the streets of NYC, agents busting down my door dying to represent me, and guest spots on Hollywood Squares, the Love Boat, and Fantasy Island.
