We are so caught up in the madness. The chaos of the world we’ve created.
A constant trade of attention, time and comparison. Somewhere along the way, we’ve succumbed to this constant trade, and the trade-off has become our own lives.
How seldom do we sit in silence and truly listen to the pain points of our own thoughts?
Do you find yourself sitting on the other side of the screen wishing you had the newest beauty product, or that cute set that girl had in the gym today, or maybe it was this confident human walking past you with your dream body.
Cool… so what’s your plan?
I often hear it time and time again. I genuinely thought the comments would evaporate if people just saw me work out, train hard, eat enough and eat well.
The inner thoughts that spew out of strangers mouths is almost too abrasive to facilitate.
“How are you so fit, surely you don’t eat.”
Okay, Sally! Thanks for the heart-warming welcome to your unfiltered thoughts…
It’s funny how we’d rather invent a story than believe someone simply made a commitment to themselves.
Look, we all want the newest beauty crave, the cute new outfit that girl was wearing or
maybe the one way plane ticket your bestie bought to start a new life exploring and just being!
You find yourself sitting in your thoughts, you start to dwell or wish or hope things shifted differently in your world. The fixation for something other than what you already have. This creates chaos, without a method. Maybe the method is choosing yourself despite the madness.
It creates disorder in an otherwise orderly mind. We search for routines to bring us back, yet somehow we’re constantly pulled towards the chaos again.
It’s a rewire. A re-order. Not another routine to perfect, but a different way of showing up for yourself.
It’s time to change it up. The biggest shift you’ll find is sitting with your own thoughts, picking one thing you want to change and doing exactly that.
Just One thing.
Maybe you want to be fitter, stronger and own your confidence.I’m here to say you can. Just start. Join the Pilates class or gym, stop cringing at the things you tell yourself suck, when in fact they are the very thing’s that will get you closer to what you really want.
Maybe you want to travel and live abroad. What is one thing you can do today to move closer to that? Start by researching the process, move the needle.
Perhaps it’s pulling a full 180 on your lifestyle, ditch the processed foods for nutritious meals that have you waking up feeling good.
All of these changes you can make in one day, by moving the needle a little closer to what you want, become a routine.
This routine doesn’t create order, it’s the Re-order.
In a world so chaotic, it’s our own accountability and commitment to today’s “one thing” that begins reshaping what’s to follow.
A new structure…
It’s a new way of thinking, a new version of yourself that becomes more productive, more determined, the person you‘ve spent ideating about without realizing that person is you, you just didn’t try and meet yourself there.
The routine of Re-order is so incredibly powerful, it’s the path to breaking old habits, moving the needle towards the life you want for yourself. It’s getting up and going to the gym without kicking up a stink. It’s consistently choosing yourself again, again and again.
Those that are successful, win quietly.
So go and write the first thing you want to change and create the routine of re-ordering your life.
This my friends is where the magic happens.
This is where you’ll find sanity, and one day you’ll realise you’ve become the very person who used to sit in that same old chair wishing for a different outcome.
