Moon in the snow, with little fairy glimmers in the trees.

This year that feels more potent than usual as I enter my second trimester, in this strange time of the pregnancy portal, awaiting the arrival of a new child next spring. Many of the projects, goals, and focuses of life made a sudden shift when I discovered I was pregnant again. It’s been a radical adjustment, even when I had vague plans of growing my family in the near future.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the stories I’ve been telling this year, about myself and my life. I’ve been dreaming with the Rivers of my Ancestors. I’ve been writing with waters. I started the year telling stories of Beauty and an ambitious artist mindset took hold. I feel like i’ve lived eons in this one year. I look back on what happened in March and May and find it hard to believe those things happened in 2025!

I listened to a richly woven podcast by The Emerald, “Carry That Weight: On Mythic Burdens and Cosmic Supports” that left me contemplating what I am carrying. I walked away with the painfully obvious answer that I am carrying New Life, and that is plenty on top of the mundane responsibilities of keeping a home and raising a two year old and staying present over the holidays. I’ve had a much more difficult time with my energy and nausea this time around, which has forced we to dial back on everything I do. For someone who likes to juggle a lot of tasks and get a lot done each day its been a tricky adjustment. The lingering commitments from the fall, from before I realized what embarking on this pregnancy journey would entail, are dragging on. I’ve paused my Patreon. I’ve dropped out of markets. You may have noticed this missive has become less frequent. And all in service to something grander than my own aspirations.

I am hopeful my energy will return soon and the “morning” sickness will fade as my tummy grows. And I also surrender to whatever shape this time of growing takes, giving myself grace for more rest, more help, and less doing doing doing.

Aspirational picture for how I want to feel under the light of the Gemini Full Moon tonight.

For years I made playlists and oracle spreads for my patrons on Patreon. I have compiled all of my Gemini Full Moon playlists into one prime playlist on Spotify and you can find the original posts below if you are curious about the previous years of inspiration.

I want to share them here as an offering, along with the Oracle Spread I am using under the light of this Moon to guide my own learnings and understandings.

The Gemini Full Moon will be extra large and bright, shining a light on answers to curious questions and revealing new plots in personal narratives. Influenced by Mercury in Scorpio and Jupiter in Cancer there is opportunity for deeper inquiry and aha! insights.

MEND Like a hole in a sweater, where could a tear in your narrative use care from another?

THREAD Like a spool coming undone , which old story is being rewritten?

WEAVE Like a great tapestry, what new perspective is ready to be woven into your life?

I asked my husband to take this picture. He crafted a very lovely flatlay that I mostly cropped out so you could see the cards.

For tonight’s reading I used the Mystic Mamma Oracle from one of my long time favorite astrologers, Mijanou. I always appreciate her lyrical insights on the moon and have enjoyed her ongoing moon collages. The deck has no accompaniment, only the images and words “You are the Oracle.”

This questions is an invitation to reach out to another for some attention, to shed some light on a story that feels out of place. It could be a belief that no longer feels true or a gap in your timeline you are ready to share or heal. It could be a fork in the road, where the old you doesn’t fit as comfortably on the new path you are taking. Or it could be a misalignment where your head and your heart or your words and your body have drifted apart. It can be a lot to turn towards these inconsistencies as an individual so look to care in your community to unpick the threads and begin to mend.

A woman sits curled up and meditative in a larger than life shell. A lilac orb floats behind her.
I have a sense that the mending will come from listening and contemplating, like holding a shell to one’s ear to hear the mysterious call of the ocean. Venture to a safe place, where your peers have gathered and listen to their stories. Perhaps one they tell will the be the key to integrating the holes in your narrative, the tears in your timeline.

For some reason this question makes me think Ariadne’s Thread, the key for Theseus to navigate the labyrinth. When everything is coiled tight around the center it can be hard to see how the twists and turns spiral towards an answer. When the spool unravels suddenly the possibilities for finding a new path, a new shape, are opened wide. Step back and unwind a little. See what new story can take shape in the clarity of a single line of thread.

A woman stands on a blank page. She has thrown thread over her shoulder, fallen into three gentle lines. A falcon witnesses the ritual of liberation.
How funny to draw a card with literal unwoven threads clear upon the page. The loosening, the unraveling, the opening to possibility can be an invisible gesture. Let go of outcome. You don’t need to know what new story will appear as the old one is unwritten. The power is in the process of deepening the breath, turning the spool, and sending the freed string into the wind to become something you never could have imagined.

In contrast to the previous question, this one seeks to bring new ideas into the whole. Our lives are rich. They are part of a relational web with our family, friends, strangers, the animals and plants, the moon and the stars, the wind and the rain. Adding something shifts the composition but the patterns and rhythms in the picture of your life remain. What is the whole asking for? and how can you weave it in with ease and grace?

A snake slithers across expanding orbs, like sunrise songs, traveling from the web of stars towards a crescent moon.
Is your tapestry too blue? Weave in some red. Is your tapestry busy and filled with patterns? Add some calming nuetrals. Is your tapestry lacking in focus? Weave in a snake or a deer to ground the picture. Only you will know what will recalibrate the texture of your days to better fit your aims and desires. Take a pause and really consider what would add to the whole.

Thank you for embarking on this journey with me. If you enjoyed these messages leave a heart or share widely.
