[Launch] The Kodama Institute

It’s happening!

When we started the Ghost Gate Chronicles, we knew we would be releasing one game per year in the series, and we have been working on this new chapter since.

It is a 2 player roll&write strategy game that you print-at-home, with some worker placement, euro and abstract influences. The black & white dice are a main component of the series and we explore that resolution mechanic in a different way in The Kodama Institute.

Both Melanie and I have been applying what we’ve learnt recently to our games : from crowdfunding 8 successful projects to my work as a professional board game developer. We’re proud of where The Kodama Institute attempts to go and what paths we explore as designers, artists and players.

With your help, we can continue creating more games that have a unique flair to them as well as telling engaging stories through play.

On the kickstarter page, there is a summary of the game rules as well as the full rules, some story elements and our newest reward tier that contains all games of the series including The Divide, Skulk’s Brew and The Kodama Institute!

Oh and a solo mode IS included :)

This is a quick update, but look forward to a development log in the next few weeks as well as our usual free game in the middle of the campaign!
