Somewhere between my third cortado and my fourth opinion of the morning, I realized I have a type, and I’m not talking men. I have a type in brands, and it’s an extremely specific type that makes shopping for any new item an Olympic sport. Working in fashion has made me realize you can’t make time for every new brand popping up; you must have an external list of criteria that make the decision before you even open the website. My list is brutal, but it leaves my closet intentional and my wallet happy… until now. There are four brands that are changing my criteria, and all for good reasons. They are a problem I am happy to have, and today they are your problem too. What follows is an edit I built for myself: four brands, twenty pieces, one complete wardrobe, and the most useful thing I’ll offer you this year.
